Platycerium superbum 35+ years old

Here is an example of an over grown over weight Platycerium superbum. When this image was sent to me this fern was 35+ years old. I told rebecca that the old growth needed to be cut off and new moss applied. When they get to this size the new roots can not grow right and it will become deformed like it is now doing. It will get smaller and smaller until it dies. Thanks to Rebecca for the photos.



P. superbum Lobed Form 'gympy'

This plant was grown from spore from the original plant given from Keith Roger. Plants muse be nearing maturity to show signs of Loved form.
